Campo Informacional

CIC

As Dimensões do CIC

Diagrama do CIC

TRDTITOIC/UHEICTPAISHI

CIC e a OIC/U — Ontologia Informacional Dinâmica Universal

Informational Context

CIC

Field

The ontological substrate that conditions every informational exchange between entities — the invisible field that gives meaning to information before it manifests.

What is the Informational Context Field?

The CIC designates the set of informational conditions that precede, surround and make possible any event of exchange, coupling or revelation of information between two or more entities.

In Vitor Lima's Informational Theories corpus, the CIC is not mere background: it is an active ontological structure. Analogous to the electromagnetic field in classical physics, the Informational Context Field has its own state, exerts influence over the entities operating within it, and is reciprocally modified by each informational event occurring therein.

The CIC is the space of possibility within which informational coupling protocols (as per TPAI) acquire meaning, where digital revelation (as per TRD) becomes legible, and where consciousness (as per HEIC) emerges as a situated phenomenon. Without field, there is no context; without context, there is no meaningful information.

Formal Definition
"The Informational Context Field (CIC) is the relational and dynamic substrate constituted by the set of states, histories, dispositions and informational potentials of the entities present in an interaction, which determines the space of semantic and causal possibility within which any new information can be generated, transmitted, interpreted or integrated."

Core Properties

The CIC exhibits four properties that distinguish it from conventional notions of «context» or «environment»:

Active Relationality

The field is not passive: it structures coupling possibilities between entities, channelling or blocking informational flows according to its state.

Historicity

The CIC accumulates traces of past interactions — each informational event alters the field, which in turn conditions future events.

Plasticity

The field adapts to the nature of interacting entities. A biological CIC differs structurally from a computational or social CIC, while obeying the same ontological principles.

Scalarity

The CIC manifests simultaneously at multiple scales: from molecular interactions to civilisational dynamics, the field structure is recursively analogous.

The Dimensions of the CIC

The Informational Context Field can be characterised according to three analytical dimensions that allow its state to be described at any moment of an interaction.

CIC = ƒ(Ψe, Δh, Πp) Where Ψₑ = entity state · Δₕ = historical delta · Πₚ = coupling potential
DimensionSymbolDescriptionExamples
Entity StateΨₑThe set of current informational dispositions of each entity: active memory, dominant reading protocol, integration capacity.Neuronal state of an organism; AI system state; cultural configuration of a social group.
Historical DeltaΔₕThe accumulated variation of the field resulting from preceding interactions. Includes traces, residues and latent patterns still exerting influence.Epigenetic memory; conversation history between agents; shared cultural tradition.
Coupling PotentialΠₚThe availability and compatibility of the field to support new informational coupling events. Analogous to electric potential in a physical field.Synaptic receptivity; network latency; hermeneutic openness of a reader.

CIC Types by Domain

Although the CIC is an ontologically universal concept, its phenomenological expression varies according to the domain in which it manifests:

🧬
Biological CIC

Field constituted by molecular, epigenetic and ecosystemic signals that frame all information exchange between cells, organs and organisms.

🧠
Cognitive CIC

The neuronal, semantic and emotional state that precedes and shapes each act of perception, interpretation and decision by a conscious subject.

⚙️
Computational CIC

The system state, session history and processing architecture conditioning all information exchange between artificial agents.

🌐
Social CIC

The set of shared norms, values, languages and histories constituting the field of possibility for communication between social actors.

The diagram illustrates the CIC as a field of possibility enveloping the entities, the coupling event at the centre, the bidirectional flow of information, and the Historical Delta (Δₕ) recording field modification after each interaction.

The diagram illustrates the CIC as a field of possibility enveloping the entities (Eₐ, Eᵦ), the coupling event at the centre, the bidirectional flow of information, and the Historical Delta (Δₕ) recording field modification after each interaction.

The CIC in the Informational Theories

The Informational Context Field is not an isolated concept: it articulates with the four theories of the informational corpus, functioning as the common substrate that runs through them.

TRDTITOIC/UHEICTPAISHI

CIC and TRD — Theory of Digital Revelation

In the TRD, every revelation of information presupposes a field that makes it legible. The CIC is the condition of possibility for revelation: without an adequate contextual field, information remains potential — it exists in its raw digital dimension, but does not reveal itself as a meaningful structure for the interacting entities. The CIC determines the «angle» from which revelation is possible and its extent.

CIC and TIT — Informational Theory of Everything

The TIT postulates that all reality is information in different degrees of organisation. The CIC is, in this perspective, the expression of the informational field characterising each level of organisation of reality: the informational substrate of an atom differs from that of a cell, which differs from that of an ecosystem — yet all share the formal structure of a CIC. The TIT uses the CIC to articulate ontological continuity between scales.

CIC and OIC/U — Universal Dynamic Informational Ontology

The OIC/U conceives the universe as an informational system in permanent actualisation. The CIC is the local operator of this dynamic: at each point of the universe, at each instant, there exists an Informational Context Field that specifies the conditions under which local information can be generated, transformed and integrated. The CIC is thus the local ontological expression of the OIC/U.

CIC and HEIC — Informational Emergency Hypothesis of Consciousness

In the HEIC (C = ƒ(D, I, R)), the CIC assumes a central role: it is the field within which informational integration (I) becomes possible and within which recursivity (R) gains substrate to operate. Consciousness emerges not solely from internal properties of the system, but from the interaction between the system and its CIC — consciousness is always consciousness-in-field.

CIC and TPAI — Theory of Informational Coupling Protocols

The TPAI describes the mechanisms by which entities establish informational couplings — the Informational Shake Hand (SHI), the Coupling Operator Ω, the Directional Coupling Index (IAD). All these mechanisms operate within the CIC and are conditioned by it: a coupling protocol only succeeds if the CIC supports informational compatibility between the parties.
